POLAR Privacy Policy

Application: POLAR (com.ducnguyen.polar) · Developer: Barebyte · Platform: Android

Effective 11 October 2026.

The short version. POLAR is an offline game. It does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information with Barebyte or with anyone else, and the released build does not request Android's INTERNET permission — so it has no way to send anything anywhere.

What data we access, collect, use and share

None. Barebyte does not access, collect, use, sell or share any personal information through POLAR. There is no account system, no sign-in, no user profile, no advertising identifier, no advertising, no analytics, no attribution SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no in-app purchases and no server of any kind.

The released build is compiled without the INTERNET permission. That is a property of the application package itself: the operating system will not let POLAR open a network connection.

What POLAR stores, and where

POLAR saves your best score, the stages you have reached, how far the first-run lesson got, and your sound and vibration settings, in storage that belongs to the app on your own device. This exists so the game can show you your own progress. It is never sent to Barebyte.

Permissions

POLAR requests one permission: vibration, used for optional haptic feedback. You can turn it off in the game and it plays exactly the same. The application package also carries a self-scoped permission generated by the Android build tools for the app's own internal message passing; it grants nothing to any other app and nothing to us.

POLAR does not request internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage-wide access or any other sensitive permission.

Retention and deletion

Because Barebyte holds no data about you, there is no remote account, server-side profile or backup of yours for us to delete, and no deletion request to make of us.

Uninstalling POLAR removes its app-private data from your device. You can also clear the game's data at any time from Android's app settings.

One thing that is the operating system's doing, not ours: POLAR does not disable Android's Auto Backup, so the platform default applies and Android may copy the app's private files into the backup attached to your own Google account. That copy belongs to you and is governed by Google's terms; Barebyte cannot see it, cannot reach it, and receives nothing from it.

Security

There is nothing to breach: no server, no account database, no credentials, no transmission. On your device, POLAR's saved files sit in app-private storage protected by the Android application sandbox.

Children

POLAR does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it collects no personal information at all. Its target audience and content rating are declared in Google Play Console by the developer account owner and shown on the store listing.

This website

These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may process ordinary web-request metadata, such as your IP address and user agent, for delivery and security, under GitHub's own practices. POLAR itself does not open this page and sends nothing to Barebyte or to GitHub. These pages set no cookies and load no analytics or third-party scripts, fonts or images.

Changes to this policy

If POLAR's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated before a build carrying the changed practice is released, and the effective date above will change with it.
